Here are some helpful hints on how to organise a ski tour.
Step 1
Decide when you wish to go - consult your Principal about dates
Select a resort which caters best for the needs of your group
Make a provisional booking with Topflight Ski & Soccer for Schools by phone or with our on-line sevice: www.topflightskiforschools. A member of our experienced sales team will revert with availability, hold an option for you and forward an information pack (if requested).
A poster is available to help you promote the trip in the school (part of information park)
Organise a meeting for all interested students - distribute an introductory letter to all those who attend.
Step 2
Arrange a meeting for those interested at this stage. Issue students with savings cards and ask them to complete all appropriate details before they leave.
Confirm your numbers to Topflight Ski & Soccer for Schools and forward a 130/£100 (200/£150 for USA) non-refundable deposit per person with the completed/signed booking form.
The ski tour is now confirmed
Step 3
Collect a second deposit of £130/£100 prior to 31st May or for USA 200/£150 prior to 30th April and forward to Topflight. (Please ensure you have at this stage completed a passenger list form detailing students' height, weight, shoe size and ski ability. If you have not done so please request a form from our office)
Step 4
May/June. Be sure to advise of any extras you may wish to avail of such as lunches, extra lessons, number of snowboarders etc.
November/December 2007. Give a letter to participants outlining the Parents' Evening. When possible, an experienced representative from the company will brief parents and students of the complete ins & outs of a ski tour (see Parent Meetings).
Step 5
Forward final balance to Topflight Ski & Soccer for Schools - 10 weeks prior to departure
Parents' Meeting
Through experience we have found it beneficial to stage a Parents' Meeting for your ski trip 3-6 weeks prior to departure. When possible, this will be attended by Brian McManus in the South and Jill Russell or another representative in Northern Ireland. The meeting allows parents to gain a full insight into what is involved on a ski tour ie. clothing required, meals served, location of resort, medical facilities, pocket money and information on insurance coverage. At these meetings both Brian and Jill offer parents the opportunity to rent ski suits and buy accessories at much lower prices than ordinary retail outlets.
Group Leaders Information PackOn making a provisional booking we will forward you a group leader Information Pack in order to assist you with the launch of the ski tour. (On request only)
This pack consists of the following items.
A poster specially designed to help promote your ski tour Saving cards Booking form & conditions A sample itinerary including entertainment schedule Insurance details
