One of the worlds most famous resorts, the resort of Kitzbuhel is renowned for its beauty, skiing, Après ski and The Hahnenkamm (The world's most difficult downhill run). Kitzbuhel offers unlimited options in fun and ski, 160kms of well groomed runs and 60 state-of-the art lifts make for an unforgettable ski experience while an abundance of shops, cafeterias, bars and restaurants in the pedestrian snowfilled centre offer the feeling of being in a winter paradise.
The Skiing
60 lifts and 160 km of runs provide unlimited skiing, snowboarding or carving. From "easy" for beginners, "intermediate" for advanced skiers to difficult for pros. Five gondolas, 28 chairlifts, 27 ski tows and 123 snow making machines is as good as it gets on any ski arena. The village of Kitzbhuel splits two ski arenas. The first is the large ski area which connects with the resorts of Kirchberg, Aschau and Pass Turn and offers well over 100km of pistes. A special route known as the ski safari connects the resorts with a total of 35kms of enjoyable skiing. The other mountain is named the Kitzbuheler Horn which is excellent for beginners and snowboarders with the boarder X halfpipe available to anybody who dares.
Hotel Kaiser
The Hotel Kaiser is a basic well run hotel in an excellent location only 10 minutes walk from the nearest lift and village centre. The spacious and relaxed hotel has a reception, dining room which serves buffet breakfast and 3 course dinner, a stuberl with television, lounge and ski storage. All bedrooms accommodate from 2-4 with larger rooms accommodating up to a maximum of 6 pax. The hotel manager Mike has worked for many years with youth groups and ensures that his customers are always cared for and feel at home in the "Kaiser"
Aprés-ski
In the Kaiser there is a TV room, lounge and games room offering pool, air hockey, table football and electronic games. The centre of Kitzbhuel is only 10 minutes walk, this offers a vast number of shops for those looking for some retail therapy, cafes for a nice relax and discos for the livelier evenings. In the village you will also find the Aquarena adventure pool complex and the new ice skating arena. Toboganning can also be organized close by. Whatever you are looking for be it either indoor or outdoor you will find it in Kitz!
