Topflight's Sports Tour Director, Aidan Gallagher, has just returned from a fact-finding visit to Benneton Treviso.
He visited the Rugby Stadium, which has been re-seeded for the new season, and the State of the Art training centre at La Ghirada Sports City where he was shown around by Benneton Treviso Club Captain, Silvio Orlando, a former Italian International, who has played against Ireland in Lansdowne Road.
La Ghirada, which was built by Benneton, caters for many sports and has 5 top quality rugby pitches, a gymnasium and a restaurant where visiting Irish school teams will have their lunch.
Irish schools who are lucky enough to visit this very impressive facility are guaranteed top class coaching, a joint training session with the Benneton Treviso Under 19 team and many other exciting adventures as outlined in our brochure.
Venice is only 40 minutes away. The 3 star hotel is 20 minutes from Treviso airport and 20 minutes from La Ghirada.
Treviso itself is a beautiful old city. The ancient walls that surround the old city are still intact (one of only five Italian cities with intact walls) and are a major tourist attraction.
There are two airports - Treviso and Venice - serving the city.
