Chelsea last night confirmed coach Luiz Felipe Scolari will take over as their new manager following Euro 2008

 

Chelsea released a statement confirming Scolari's appointment. It read "Chelsea Football Club is delighted to confirm Luiz Felipe Scolari will be the Club's new manager from July 1.

 

Scolari, who led Brazil to the 2002 World Cup, dropped a huge hint he would take over at Chelsea on Tuesday when he said "It will be difficult to leave Portugal but I am professional and I have lived everywhere in the world. I am ready to live a different country."
