Both Man Utd and Chelsea were playing for the Premier League title yesterday. Chelsea were at home to Bolton and Man Utd were away to Wigan. Chelsea needed to win and Man Utd to draw or lose. However Manu Utd only needed to win as they were +17 with goad difference. The games ended with Wigan 0 Man Utd 2 and Chelsea 1 Bolton 1.
Man Utd lifted the Premier League trophy for the 10th time, taking their total of league to 17. Ronaldo scored the first goal in the 33rd minute. Substitute Ryan Giggs made his 758th appearance and scored in the 81st minute to secure title for the Red Devils.
This will give Man Utd great confidence going to Moscow on the 21st of May to play Chelsea in the Champions League final. Avram Grant will be a a loss of John Terry as he was taken to hospital with a dislocated elbow half way through the game against Bolton.
It's sure set to be an exciting final with the top teams in England playing to get that all important gold star.
