The beautiful Austrian resort of Ehrwald is in a fantastic location just 1hr NW of Innsbruck. The village is in an area better known as the Zugspitze Arena, which is made up of a number of little hamlets overlooked by the towering Zugspitze Glacier; Lermoos & Ehrwald being the largest and most famous. The Zugspitze is split between the Austrian Tyrol and German Bavaria and is classed as Germanys highest peak. Ehrwald (Austrian side) is a lovely village with a small centre a number of hotels, restaurants, shops, bars/cafeterias and sports centre. There are a huge amount of breathtaking walks, hikes, climbs, mountain biking and other adventures in the close vicinity and a short trip to the famous Inn river near Innsbruck will ensure fast and furious water action. |

The Alpenhotel is a small recently refurbished hotel in a wonderfully picturesque setting literally at the foot of the towering Zugspitze Glacier. It accommodates up to 56 people comfortably, mainly in 2, 3 and 4 bedded rooms. All rooms have private facilities, telephone and most have a balcony. A bar, TV room with satellite, dining room and large recreation room offers various aprθs adventure possibilities particularly for sole occupancy groups.
