Topflight Sports for Schools is delighted to offer the unique opportunity for teams to train with the most famous Rugby Club in Italy. We have organised a special Train & Play programme to allow young players from across Ireland the opportunity to train with professional coaches from Benetton Treviso. Excellent playing surfaces will be complemented by accommodation that will offer groups a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Price is based on a minimum of 40 on each coach transfer. If you have fewer travelling we will organise for your group to join another for all transfers/tours in order to keep cost the same. If you have 20-25 travelling and wish to have private coach transfers a supplement will apply. Each training session lasts 2 hours and tour may be extended to include extra coaching and matches.

Coaching Clinics Coaching clinics will be split accordingly, to incorporate the various unit skills (back play and forward play)

FORWARDS:
Line out and scrimmaging techniques. Set piece play is the foundation of the modern game. Experience at first hand the techniques the world’s top players utilise to gain advantage at first phase.

BACKS:
Defensive alignments and attacking lines of running from set piece, phase and broken play. Modern rugby has made enormous strides in implementing organised defensive patterns. Experience the benefits of modern defensive alignments and also attaching options utilised to break them down.

  Club Facts

Benetton Rugby Treviso is an rugby union club currently competing in the Super 10. They are based in Treviso in Veneto, and owned by the Benetton clothing company. Benetton Treviso were founded in 1932. The team has won 12 national titles, the last one in 2006, and three Italian Cups. Many foreign players have played for Treviso including coach and World Cup winner Craig Green, the former national coach and World Cup winner John Kirwan and World Cup winner Michael Lynagh. Treviso has always supplied a large number of players to the national team.

Benetton Treviso competed in the 1995-96 Heineken Cup, the inaugural competition of the European rugby competitions where they played two games in the competition, winning one and losing one. They also won the domestic championship in the 1997 season followed by 3 victories in the 1998-99 Heineken Cup.

Benetton Treviso dominated the Italian leagues for a number of seasons to come. They won the Italian Cup in 1998, as well as their premiership, this was followed by premiership victories in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004 and again in 2006. Benetton Treviso spent the 2000-01 and 2002- 03 European seasons in the European Challenge Cup before winning half of their games in the 2004-05 Heineken Cup.
