SNOWBOARDING:
Snowboarding is quickly becoming the most popular form of "snow-gliding". Many resorts cater fully for snowboarders by having 'snowboard streets'. These are areas specifically for boarders which include halfpipes and jumps. Snowboarding is more expensive than skiing, mainly due to the cost of the equipment rental and higher tuition fees. For tuition purposes we require a minimum group size of 11 all at a similar level in order to dedicate an instructor to a snowboarding group.

DOORSTEP SKIING:
: Many of our hotels offer doorstep skiing, which literally means skiing from your doorstep. There are however slight variations of this term and we have therefore decided to colour grade these as follows. Hotel beside a lift which connects you to the full ski area available.
Hotel beside a lift which connects you to a portion of the area from which you can ski. This means that there are further ski slopes available to you, however they are not interconnected with the lift outside your door. A ski bus will transport you to these areas, which your lift pass entitles you to ski. (Lift passes may have to be upgraded to use different areas.)
Hotel although not directly on the slope can be reached easily by foot.
All hotels which do not have one of these signs attached require a short ski bus transfer by either private coach or frequent public ski bus. |
