North East of San Francisco lies beautiful Lake Tahoe. South Lake is split between the States of California and Nevada and offers excellent panoramic skiing in Sierra and Heavenly with the option to go to the North Shore for a fantastic ski day at Northstar. Due to Tahoe’s climate and high mountains you are virtually guranteed powder snow and sunshine, on well groomed slopes in this large ski area. The accommodation is all of an excellent standard and is situated close to the lake. San Francisco being a must see city means we have tailored your tour to include 5 days skiing in Tahoe and 2 nights in San Francisco offering a chance to see the Golden Gate bridge, visit Alcatraz and take a famous trolley tour
Lakeshore Lodge
Located just over 1km from South Lake - Heavenly Village, Lakeshore Lodge is in the most spectacular of settings, literally on the shore of the magnificent Lake. All rooms sleep up to four and have en suite facilities, cable TV, telephone, fireplace and a Lake View. TV room, outdoor heated pool and hot tub are located in house while adults can take the opportunity to visit the Day Spa and Sauna. Buffet breakfast will be served each day in the hotel and dinner in various restaurants nearby.
Forest Suites Resort
In a fantastic location in the centre of Heavenly Village this excellent property offers one and two bedroom apartment style accommodation, which sleep up to 6. All have en suite facilities, cable TV and telephone. The Resort has outdoor heated pools, hot tubs, fitness centre, Sauna and steam room as well as 4 large recreational rooms, TV room and games room with pool and table tennis. Buffet breakfast will be served and dinner can be organised either in the hotel or in many of the nearby restaurants or a combination of both.
Horizon Resort
An excellent hotel & casino located on the Nevada side of South Lake. The Horizon is a large hotel with 539 rooms, all sleeping up to four, have en suite facilities, cable TV, telephone and lake or mountain views. It has fantastic in-house entertainment such as live music, shows, cabarets everything you would expect from a Casino Resort along with an 8-plex cinema, huge game arcade with the most popular titles and outdoor hot tubs. The Casino section is closed off to students and may only be used by adults. It offers buffet breakfast and fantastic all you can eat buffet in the evening. All this and its only a 5-10min walk into Heavenly Village!
Aprés-ski
There are so many après ski possibilities in Tahoe. Apart from the outdoor heated pools in Lakeshore Lodge and Forest Suites, the hot tubs of all three properties and the other many in-house après ski possibilities. South Lake – Heavenly Village offers everything; cinemas, ice skating, shopping, disco, bowling, bars and restaurants including the Hard Rock Café. If skiing in Sierra we will organise a special student apres ski party night at the mountain with optional floodlit tobogganing.
