Just over 1hr NW of Innsbruck, the village of Biberwier is located next to Ehrwald and the famous Zugspitze Glacier, which borders Bavaria. The Cube accommodation built only this year is a fantastic option for groups. It has a new contemporary style to it and offers many après ski possibilities as do the local villages nearby. It also offers groups doorstep skiing with the nearest lift being only meters from the hotel, and the added benefit of being able to ski Ehrwald, Lermoos and the Zugspitze, all closeby and included on your lift pass.
The Skiing
Your lift pass entitles you to use any of the nine ski areas in the Zugspitze Ski Circuit which totals 195km of piste. The closest Biberwier is literary on your doorstep. It has Five lifts that take you up the slopes of the Marienbergjoch and there are 14 kilometres of richly varying slopes to take you back down. Perfectly prepared slopes and a wonderfully open terrain, offers an excellent opportunity to learn to ski in the first couple of days. The larger ski areas of Lermoos, Ehrwald, Ehrwalder Alm and the Glacier are all within a 5-10 minute journey by free ski bus from your hotel . All in all a fantastic ski area for all grades of skiers
The Cube
Opened in late summer 07, The CUBE BIBERWIER is an unique mountain, leisure and holiday experience in the Tyrol, which combines sport, entertainment and design. An open plan lobby is surrounded by bedrooms on several floors, which are specially designed in minimalistic style with a steel case per bed for luggage and heated cupboard for equipment and damp ski gear. All rooms have private facilities and accommodate up to 4.
Aprés-ski
Most evening activities in Biberwier are concentrated in the Cube which is almost like an entertainment centre. Chill out lounges with comfy sofas on every floor, video walls in the lobby, games room and disco, while for the adults there is also a sauna and steam bath. Toboganning can be organised nearby and in Ehrwald there is a superb sports complex which boasts an indoor ice-skating rink, indoor tennis and swimming pool. Local discos can also be found in Ehrwald and Lermoos.
