Helmets
Use of helmets is now compulsory by law in Italy for children under
14yrs of age. The cost to hire helmets is €12 for 6 days. These can be
pre-booked through our office.
Rooming Arrangements
A room breakdown will be available approximately 2 weeks prior to departure. Students will be accommodated in multibedded rooms up to a max of 4/5 generally unless staying in exceptionally large rooms, apartments or cabins where more can sleep comfortably. Accompanying adults will generally be accommodated in twins & triples (Norwegian cabins 4-6). The supplement for a Single room is from €105 (subject to availability).
Free Places
Included in all costs is 1 free place for every 10 paying students.
NB. 1 free place is offered for every 10 full paying students.
Unfortunately a reduction cannot be made in the event of a lesser ratio. eg a group consisting of 35 students is entitled to 3 free places and not 3 1/2.
This is due to contracting terms with certain airlines and resorts.
Additional Adults
Any adults over and above the free place ratio will pay a supplement of €150. This supplement is to include adult lift pass & ski hire supplements, excess insurance as well as higher charges made by the hotels. This guarantees twin/triple sharing as opposed to multi-bedded rooms. (Please note; if more than 20% of a group is formed by additional adults a further supplement may apply). Deposits: A non-refundable deposit of €130 (USA €200) per person is due to firm your tour. A second deposit of €130 (USA €200) per person is due prior to 31 May 08 for European Resorts & 30 April 08 for USA.
Ski School information
To minimise the risk of injury from 'free skiing' we recommend that groups avail of 4hrs ski lessons. Most Austrian resorts offer an instructor for 4hrs each day. Therefore groups only taking 2hrs ski lessons may have to split with one group having morning lessons and the other afternoon lessons. For groups taking 4hrs in Austria timings are generally excellent as an instructor is allocated only to that group. The local ski school will confirm lesson times generally prior to a group's arrival in resort. They may alter these from time to time during the course of the week. Topflight for Schools will be happy to request preferred timings for a group, however the ski school will have the final decision. Group sizes will generally consist of 11-13 people per instructor. A minimum group size of 11 snowboarders of similar level is required in order to dedicate an instructor to a snowboarding group. Smaller groups will incur a supplement.
Flight Information & Departure Day
The price grid shows a Saturday departure on all dates this is only for the purpose of allocating a price to a weekend. Flights may also depart on Sundays. On peak dates flights may also depart on a Friday or Monday.
