The Gothia Cup takes place in Gothenburg, Sweden, with teams from 60-70 different countries taking part each year. The city of Gothenburg is the perfect host with locals who are well renowned for their hospitality and friendliness. The tournament is open to all clubs who are members of their FIFA affiliated national associations

  The Gothia Card

Included in your package is the Gothia Card which entitles each person to free travel within the city on buses and trams; free admittance to most of Gothenburg's leading tourist attractions; free entry to the Opening Ceremonies and the Finals at the Ullevi Stadium; free admittance to the Liseberg Amusement Park; free entrance to the Gothia Players Corner

  
  Tournament Format

The tournament begins with group play.
Teams are divided into groups of four or five, where all teams are playing each other once. The first and second team in the group qualify for "Play-off A", the other teams in the group for "Play-off B". The tournament is played under all applicable FIFA or Swedish FA rules.

  
  Accommodation

Accommodation is based in schools with each team
having one classroom to itself. Minimum one, maximum four leaders per team may stay in the school. It is possible to upgrade to a hotel at a supplement of €200 per person for the duration.
